Are You an Opportunistic Eater?
Why do you eat? Do you walk past the bakery at your supermarket and guzzle a muffin before you get to the till? Or do you plan your meals and stick to them? Opportunist eaters are defined as individuals who eat sporadically on the go, rather than eating at standard mealtimes. In a recent study it was found that opportunist eaters were:
– less likely to consider nutritional aspects but more likely to consider cost of the food they consume
– eat ready-to-eat or heat-and-eat products as well as cold meats, bottled water, carbonated drinks and hot dogs
– choose good tasting food over healthier fare
