These CAT Boots Aren’t Just Made For Working

Ready for a night out?

The CAT Bruiser boot is true to its name: it’s die-hard, warrior-like and can withstand anything you throw at it. They basically form part of your work equipment and everyday toolbox.

But just by looking at the CAT Bruiser, you’d know this, and for years the Bruiser boots have been the trusty working stalwarts to protect you on the job. One thing we also know? They can last a lifetime in dog years, and depending how much you wear them, human years, too. So when they landed on my desk, I thought, why not use them when I* go out—and make these construction staples weekend warriors, too— and it was a genius move, indeed (even if I say so myself).

Turn a causal athleisure outfit into a bold statement with the Cat Bruiser boots. Firstly, it made me taller, and secondly they stand out – it’s the first thing my mates noticed when I walked into the bar for afterwork drinks.

But what I loved most is the finer details: the stark honey and brown laces complement the brown leather cushioning above the ankles, which allow you dress the boots against both neutral and striking colours (as seen above).

These honey-coloured Bruiser boots allow for complete versatility and they go great with denim. Whether it’s charcoal black or any shade of blue – these boots became my go-to no matter the colour of denim I threw on. These CAT boots can be used to stomp through rubble or on the dance floor. And I did both – soldiering through gravel, dust and grass at a local wine show before throwing a jacket over to hit Cape Town’s Long Street (yes, it was the wine speaking).

Pro tip: You CAN layer denim, so add a denim jacket to dress these up. Or throw a checkered shirt over your T-shirt for a more casual look.
