Focusing entirely on her side of the conversation may hurt your second-date chances, according to research in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology. When strangers engaged in back-and-forth conversation, they felt closer, liked each other more and thought they had more in common than when one dished while the other listened.
“Know- ledge is the foundation of attraction,” says study author Stanislav Treger. It’s best to keep the talking and listening equal.
