Zap the TV commercials: foods advertised on television are usually loaded with sugar and fat. Research in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association reveals that a 8 000 kilojoule diet of these foods would exceed the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for sugar by 25 times and the RDA for fat by 20 times.
