Ready For Bed

Men's Health |

The 2012 Bedroom Poll conducted by the National Sleep Foundation gives an interesting snapshot of what we prefer behind closed doors.

Eighty-seven percent said the decor of their bedrooms influenced their sleep.

Factors cited as important for quality rest were a comfortable mattress, pillows, and bedding in a quiet, dark, temperate room.

Room darkening window treatments were used by 62% of respondents and over a quarter of those surveyed slept solo.

Thirty-three percent agreed that ideally 7 to less than 8 hours sleep were necessary for personal well-being.

Singles have more pillows on their beds (average of 2.4) than married people (2.1 pillows), but those who are married are more likely to make their beds in the morning.

So, can a mattress destroy your sex life?
