And just like that we’re heading into the round of 16 and the first of the knockouts for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. What better way to mark the occasion than with a brand new match ball, right? Well, that’s exactly what Adidas has done with the Telstar Metcha.

The ball features a vivid red design, which has been chosen by Adidas to reflect the colours of the host nation Russia, as well as the inevitable ‘rising heat’ of knockout football.

Complete with its new colour, this ball replaces the black and white design we’ve been watching so closely throughout the group phase.
