Yes, there is an international day dedicated to sleep, but it’s not an invite to go into hibernation for a day despite the temptation. World Sleep Day is, in fact, aimed to raise awareness for sleep-related issues including medicine, education and many social aspects, along with the celebration of sleep. The annual event (16th March) is organised by the World Association of Sleep Medicine (WASM), whose goal is to lessen the impact of sleep problems by encouraging and implementing better prevention and management of sleep disorders.
