Flu-Beater Bacon Recipe

Cayenne is packed with vitamin A, which crushes colds and flu. This bacon recipe calls for it, for a healthier take on the swine.

Stir together ¼ cup lightly packed brown sugar and 1 tsp ground cayenne.

Coat a pack of bacon rashers with the brown sugar mixture on both sides, and arrange the slices on a rack set over a foil-lined baking sheet.

Bake in a 200°C oven until crisp, about 20 minutes.

Serve with a stack of warm flapjacks.
