Here’s Why You Should Start Using Battle Ropes In Your Workouts

Battle ropes are nothing new. They’ve been around for a while now. But unlike the dumbbell and kettlebell, they’re often the most unused piece of equipment in the gym.

“Battle ropes in my opinion is such an underrated piece of equipment because there’s so many variations you can do with it,” says Rayhaan Toefy, a 26-year-old personal trainer at The Station gym in Cape Town.

Regardless of which muscle group you want to train, battle ropes can get the job done. “You can use them to work your upper body as there’s a lot of push and pull motions you can do. Adding in squats and lunges will help you works your legs, while keeping your core activated targets those muscle groups as well,” says Toefy.
