Guava Is Good

Men's Health |

Why you should stock up on the tropical fruit with sweet white, yellow, pink or red flesh inside its yellow-green rind.

Why it’s good for you

Guava delivers fibre and vitamin C. Plus, its antioxidants are more active than those in apples, bananas, mangoes or papayas, a 2010 study from India reveals.

How to eat it

Bite into it like an apple, or slice it in half and scoop out the pulp. You can also blend some of the flesh into a yoghurt smoothie for a hint of tropical sweetness.
