Turns out that packing LOLs into your advertisements is profitable. Their advertisment, Old Spice: The Man Your Man Could Smell Like not only racked up 48 million YouTube views, sales of Old Spice reportedly shot up by 55 percent. The advertisement also won a Creative Emmy Award for Best Commercial of the Year.

There formula seems to be to take a familiar situation and then warp it until it becomes hilarious. Check out this advertisement, which makes fun of clingy mothers and musicals.
