Apply fragrance to these four spots for a lingering effect.
Not the most obvious area of application but this spot is good as the warmth penetrates and strengthens the fragrance, explains perfumer Azzi Glasser.
Peppermint and citrus scents have been shown to increase mental awareness. Apply a minty fragrance to the base of your throat and behind your ears.
Two sprays on the wrists is best. In a study at the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research, vanilla was the scent that charmed her most.
"As a finishing touch you can spritz your chest, but one spray is all that's required," says Glasser. The scent lasts longer there as it's not rubbed off so quickly, so don't go overboard.
