If you’re feeling down, so is your penis. Depressed men, though more likely to want sex, may not be physically aroused enough to get it up, found a new study. Women were less likely than men to want sex when they were blue or under stress. The study investigated how different moods influenced sexual thoughts, sexual desire, ability to become aroused, frequency of sexual encounters and potentially regrettable sexual behaviours. The women who had increased desire when stressed or anxious, were more likely to be indiscriminate in choosing a partner, with a greater chance of picking up a sex partner at a bar or party. Both happy men and women, however, desired more sex, and having had sex, put them in a good mood, says the researcher of the study. If you’re feeling down, here’s how to Beat A Bad Mood.
