The soccer star also gives up his top 3 tips for staying healthy

The Nike+ Training Club (NTC) app is launching a new “series of athlete workouts that feature holistic health and motivation tips,” according to a recent press release. Their most recent collaboration includes former Men’s Health cover star and soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
If you’ve paid attention to his speed and strength on the field, you know Ronaldo is incredibly fit. That’s because he’s no stranger to two-a-day workouts and focuses on little habits that can make a big impact on his health and athleticism, according to Nike.
“The night before a game, Cristiano Ronaldo drinks either tea with honey or milk and takes a very hot bath for about 20 minutes,” he states in the release. “The routine is as relaxing as it is athletically strategic, because Ronaldo firmly believes that ‘smart details’ like these make the biggest difference in his ability to perform better than, well, arguably anyone at his sport.”
Since he has started his career, Ronaldo says he’s stuck with three crucial habits to maintain his health: “Eat well, stay hydrated and sleep properly,” he says.
But abs like his require a little more work than that. The NTC app will feature “15-minute Quick-Hit-Abs” bodyweight workout that will offer nine different moves to target your core at all angles. The workout was created by one of Ronaldo’s trainers, Joaquin Sanda, who pulled directly from the routines he uses for Ronaldo to create the Nike workout.
“The stronger the core, lower back, and glutes, the better Cristiano will move, whether the demand be a short run, explosive drill or long endurance work,” Sanda told Nike. “Together, these workouts in the app can create a healthy foundation for athletes of any sport and level.”
