Whether you a Obi- Wan Kenobi, Yoda, R2-D2 or Darth Vader fan you will like this rather cool act of love one dad did for his kid.
This dad deserves an award for coolest dad yet as he designed “Star Wars” themed helmets for his son who had to undergo helmet moulding therapy for three months as he was born with craniosynostosis.
“Special helmets worn by craniosynostosis patients are used for helmet moulding therapy, a treatment where the infant is fitted with a helmet that is designed to correct the shape of his skull.”
Craniosynostosis is an uncommon skull problem that results in a baby being born with, or develops, an abnormally shaped head, -which can lead to learning difficulties, headaches and eye problems.
Baby Jack was one of 2000 babies, who were born with craniosynostosis this year, but thanks to his dad’s cool idea of adding a lil ‘pizzazz’ to his son’s protective helmets, not only will he celebrate his first birthday this week but also the last day of having to wear his corrective helmet.
This dad has been designing various helmets throughout the year as he made sure they were ready after every operation baby Jack had to undergo. He says his inspiration came from “Star Wars characters, including Luke Skywalker, Biggs Darklighter, Jek Porkins, and even R2D2.”
Helmet moulding therapy often requires the infant to wear it for up to 23 hours, this dad definitely made sure that his son did not have to be uncool for 23 hours.
What do you think about this cool act of love? We certainly salute this dad “Star Wars” style and “May the Force Be With” Baby Jack.
