At the 2014 Berlin Marathon records were shattered as Adidas’ Dennis Kimetto ran the fastest marathon in history with a time of two hours, two minutes and 57 seconds, beating the previous world record by a whole 26 seconds. He was wearing the super lightweight Adidas BOOST. Emmanuel Muthai placed second joining Kimetto in breaking the previous world record and also had on Adidas BOOST. Two of the top female finishers, Tirfi Tsegaye and Fayse Tadese, also sported the Adidas BOOST as Adidas took a dominant presence on the podium.
These results contribute towards a long line of success for the Adidas BOOST after it was introduced last year. It also includes former world record holder, Wilson Kipsang, who ran a course record at the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon with the BOOST.
