Contrary to common practice, the worst place to store your coffee is your fridge. Besides taking on your fridge’s smells, the condensation that takes place when your coffee comes out of your fridge will ruin it. “Buy only as much coffee as you will use up in a week or so,” says David Donde, CEO of Cape Town coffee shop TRUTH.coffeecult. “Store the whole coffee beans in a sealed container in a cool, dark place like a cupboard. Grind the beans a few minutes before using them.”
