That can-a-day (or two, or more) of soda may go down well with your greasy breakfast, but its taking its toll on your liver, according to a new study. Researchers found an increased risk of developing proteinurea, an increased excretion of protein in the urine, in those people who drank at least two soft drinks per day. In a follow-up study of 2, 9 years, researchers from the Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine found that 8, 4% of university employees who drank no soda developed proteinurea, 8, 9% who drank one soda per day compared to 10, 7% who drank two or more sodas per day.
