Frightening whitening: Washing your clothes with chlorine bleach is a good way to kill germs. But at what price to your health?

Scientists at Marymount Manhattan College found that using this type of disinfectant leaves behind a carcinogen called organochlorine. They’re not sure if organochlorine in clothes poses a significant health hazard, but study author Dr Alessandra Leri, advises caution.
