Oldways, a group dedicated to reacquainting people with traditional ways of eating around the world, and the International Pasta Organisation released a “Scientific Consensus about the Healthy Pasta Meals” in October 2010, in support of (whole grain) pasta as part of a healthful diet.

In a nutshell, it says pasta is a great food when eaten in modest portions and paired with ingredients such as vegetables, beans, herbs, olive oil, nuts, fish, and small amounts of meat or cheese.
